What is Trymedia?
Trymedia, also known as AdWare.Win32.Trymedia.b [Kaspersky], is an adware program that can negatively impact browser’s performance. Trymedia is installed with the game The Rise of Atlantis. It monitors user browsing habits in order to facilitate targeted popups. By adding a Browser Helper Object to the resident Internet Browser, Trymedia can monitor Web use and communicate a profile of a user’s banking and shopping habits to a third-party advertising server. That server then returns the popups that Trymedia displays.
