Desktop Security 2010 is one of those so-called “professional” anti-spyware programs which are designed to fool computer users and trick them into purchasing their full versions. It will be very easy for PC users to get infected by Desktop Security 2010 even though your computer is just for daily use, for example, when you downloading programs from the computer or when accepting files in the chat-room. Once installs, Desktop Security 2010 will scare users that their computers are flooded with kinds of spyware, Trojans or malware, etc. Then, the full version is recommended as the only program possible to remove all the detected infections.

Most of the time, the notifications of Desktop Security 2010 look like:

“Security Center Alert
To help protect your computer, Desktop Security 2010 has blocked some features of this program.
Name Sft.dez.Wien
Risk High
Description Sft.dez.Wien is a virus attempts to spread itself by attaching to a host program, and can damage hardware, software or data in the process. This worm can be blocked from firewall and antivirus software.”

“Spyware Warning
Your online guard helps to stop unauthorized changes to your computer
Details: Spyware detected on your computer”

Do not trust any of its notifications and it is highly advised that you should immediately thoroughly scan your system and remove Desktop Security 2010 instantly as it does nothing but harm to the computer.

4.Last, open Registry Editor from Start and delete the below entries:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Desktop Security 2010

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\User Agent\Post Platform “Desktop Security 2010″
